Course Aim
Our Rooftop Rescue course is designed to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform vertical rope rescue techniques off bridges or rooftops using pre-engineered rescue kits. Students are taught several rescue techniques with these kits in order to deal with a variety of possible emergency situations that may arise due to the vast varying workplaces that rooftop workers may face in everyday working environments.

Course Assessment
Students will be assessed to determine their competency in this course both theoretically and practically.
The theory assessment consists of multiple choice and short answer questions.
The practical assessment will require students to participate in hazard identification discussion and the completion of SWMS documentation; select, pre-use inspect, put on and correctly fit a full-body harness; and perform bridge rescue techniques in order to retrieve a workmate who is suspended or injured on a bridge and needs assistance to get down to a safe area.

Upon successful completion participants will be issued a Statement of attainment for a nationally recognised unit of competency from 3M Australia Pty Ltd.
